GENERAL INFORMATION

Mission and Purpose :

 The objective of this symposium is to foster the exchange in the specialized field of assessment and monitoring of damage and fracture of composite structures. The originality of this meeting will be to take advantage of the informal workshop environment to facilitate open and focused presentations, discussions and exchanges for the benefit of all attendees. This symposium provides a forum for high-level French and Chinese researchers and engineers to present their latest developments and exchange ideas on the subject. It also gives an opportunity to establish and foster collaboration between different participants.

 Format :

All abstracts and presentations must be in English. Registration will begin in the afternoon of July 14, 2015. The symposium will consist of a Speaker Program in the first two days (July 15-16) and a Tour Program in the third day (July 17).

The Speaker Program contains presentations and panel discussions. About 15 technical presentations in theme sessions will be planed. Each speaker has 30 minutes to present her or his work. At the end of each session, a panel discussion is organized. Besides, a welcome reception is also scheduled in the first day, and a dinner on July 16 will be organized in one of the best restaurants in downtown of Tarbes.

 Conference Tour :

The Tour Program on July 17 is to visit Institut Clément Ader Laboratory http://www.institut-clement-ader.org/ in Toulouse in the morning and visit Carcassonne in the afternoon. Carcassonne is a historic fortified medieval city in France (UNESCO, 1997) and located about 80km east of Toulouse. A drop off at the end of the day is possible in downtown Toulouse.
